В современной психологии этот термин используется достаточно широко при исследовании проблем выбора, решения задач, распознавания сигнала. Уверенность/сомнительность изучается как одна из «переменных субъекта» в психофизике, как внутренняя обратная связь, определяющая готовность человека к приему информации (Скотникова, 2002, 2003).

Необоснованной является просьба, которая явно ущемляет достоинство человека и связана с действием, которое сам просящий может без труда (или при некотором усилии, не требующем сверхчеловеческих затрат) выполнить. Необоснованная просьба предполагает, что вклад каждого из партнеров будет существенно различаться, причем в пользу просящего.
Только в данном контексте термины маскулинность и фемининность употребляются нами как синонимы мужественности и женственности.
Такими возможностями являются: допускаемые в обществе (в частности, в семье) разговоры о первой влюбленности, о гигиене подростка, о сексуальных отношениях между мужчиной и женщиной и пр.
