Шактипат — процесс посвящения, осуществляемый гуру путем передачи энергии, которая пробуждает энергию посвященного.
Шива — чистое сознание; запредельное божественное начало.
Юга — историческая эпоха. Существует четыре юги: Кали, Два-папра, Трета и Сатья, соответствующие греческим представлениям о железном, бронзовом, серебряном и золотом веке. Кали Юга, или эпоха материализма, закончилась около 1700 года н. э., и сейчас мы живем в эпоху Апара Юги, 2400 годичном цикле развития электрической и атомной энергии.
Янтра — символическое изображение, подобное мандале, которое используется для лечения, медитативного созерцания и в других метафизических целях.
